Now a day’s productivity improvement has been considered as the best and most effective way to achieve growth due to increased competition as well as the lack of resources. Since transportation is an important component and the most influential infrastructure of the country, therefore measuring and improving productivity of this field is important.
The purpose of this paper is to calculate productivity in the transportation field (sector the in the country) using a Kalman filter approach and the results obtained for the potential production and production cycles in the transportation sector using Hodric & Prescott and Baxter & King approaches has been compared and analyzed. The results show that all three methods confirm increasing economic stability of transportation sector in recent years; however productivity in the transportation sector has been slow but positive process and has been had relative stability.
